….my phone rings. I went from sharing a seat with Becky (pictured above) to talking to my mother on the phone in less then three seconds. “Can you swing by this afternoon to fix the lock on my door?” she asks. “Um, Mom, I’m in Southern California”. She asks what I’m doing there, and I tell her, and she calls it my “porn thing” as if it’s a phase I’m going through.
