This has got to suck….
I grew up in New Jersey. (Keep your “What exit?” jokes to yourself please.) I grew up in the middle of nowhere in the styx on a huge mountain. We had no fast food, no street lights, notta. Huge mountain. Sure enough, every year, it would snow and we would be snowed in until the plows came to dig us out. Even then we still had to dig out our drive ways – long drive ways, not the little short crap we have here in California. I ended up in the Marines in North Carolina where – much to my surprise – it never snowed. NO SNOW? I can get used to this.
Once I figured that out I decided to never ever live where it snows. That was simple. And now I live in California. If I want to see snow I can drive two hours north and get it out of my system. I kid you not I went fifteen years without seeing snow until recently, and I feel like a better person.
So fuck snow.
