You all know how I have a Mustang Cobra. It’s a pretty fast car but I’m realistic about it; I know there are plenty of cars out there that are plenty faster. (My car can destroy a Dodge Charger any day of the week and twice in Mexico, however!) I surely don’t think my car is the fastest the in world.
I was, however, surprised the other day when a silver Mercedes blew me away as if I was standing still. I came up to a red light and there was nothing in front of us but an open freeway. Nice looking older man with gray hair at the wheel wearing racing gloves. I was feeling cocky thinking I was going to leave him in the dust. Light turns green, I hit the gas, he hits the gas, and I got left in the dust. I just got blown away by a fucking Mercedes Benz? WTF?
Some quick research told me that Mercedes has some pretty interesting high end high performance cars – that my little Cobra doesn’t come close to. They have the SLR Roadster that puts out some 600hp. Holy shit! Then again, the car costs $500k so I don’t feel all too bad.
I have a friend who has one of these cars (who says porn doesn’t pay?) and gave hooked me up for a test ride. What a fun day that was!
So just remember when you think you have the fastest car on the block, well, there is always someone who has a faster car than you!
